Run with parameters

Postby Paul McCarthy » Sun Nov 27, 2016 1:20 am

I just registered Spartan... it's an excellent clipboard manager.

Suppose I want to launch a script with (a) parameter(s), or launch a batch file with 'cmd /c'?

Like when I put this in a clip 'cmd.exe /c C:\Users\Paul\DOCUME~1\Scripts\POWERS~1\LAUNCH~1.BAT', Spartan doesn't seem to recognize that I'm trying to run the script. Actually, it's a Powershell script called through a Batch file so that I can use the '/c' option to keep a window from popping up.

How might I do this in Spartan? And, more generally, how does one tell Spartan that what follows an executable's name is a parameter for that executable? Can these things be done in Spartan? Thanks.

Take care,

Hi Paul,
Don't know for sure but I suspect Spartan doesn't recognize short filenames. There is no problem using parameters which have full file names. I use these.......

C:\program files\demo builder 11\db.exe F:\NET\\clipboards\spartan\demo\buttons.pdb

C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /c chkdsk E: /f

F:\EB\EB.EXE p=start d=reg

and they all work fine.
