Spartan won't Start - Files cannot be opened/deleted - Run time Error 75 - Run time Error 52

Runtime error 75 - Runtime error 52 - Error Spartan cannot continue
One of the program's data files cannot be opened

There are multiple reasons why these errors can arise. If you have Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 the most likely reason is that your user permissions for the Spartan data folder are corrupt. The video below shows you how to fix this.....

See video.....
http://m8software.com/clipboards/spartan/demo/permissions/MP4-HTML5%20Player/permissions.html

If you have an earlier version of Windows or if you have fixed the user permissions and are still getting the error.........

You probably have a corrupt data file. The most likely being either "Data.dir" or "clipm8.def". Go to the data folder and delete these files one at a time and try starting Spartan. If that doesn't fix it, delete all the files in the data folder BUT NOT the sub folders, Group0, Etc. Those contain your saved clips.

If Spartan still won't start, rename the data folder by adding a couple of xs to the end of it.....

C:\Users\(Your user name)\AppData\Roaming\M8 Software\Spartan_DataXX

Spartan will now start without any clips. You can restore them from your backup.

If your not sure where the data folder is, then...

For XP the data folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\(Your User Name)\Application Data\M8 Software\Spartan_Data

and for Vista / Win7 / 8 / 10 it is
C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Roaming\M8 Software\Spartan_Data
