Only the letter V is pasted

The "V" Problem

When you paste a clip, the program first puts your clip back on the Windows clipboard. It then simulates the keys Ctrl + V so that the program you are working in pastes the clip.

There is a bug in the Windows operating system which occasionally passes the "V" key but loses the "Ctrl" key. Hence the "V" instead of the clip.

The bug is completely spurious - Some people never have it, some rarely and some regularly. It appears to happen when resources are low and usually clears after a computer restart.

If it happens rarely, just backspace out the "V" then type Ctrl+V manually or use the Edit / Paste menu.

If it happens regularly, go to the options(General) window and switch to secondary paste method:

The program will then use the keys Shift + Insert to paste your clips.
