Special Function Buttons

Spartan has several special function buttons which can appear as you move the mouse over clip names. You can nominate which of the special function buttons you wish to see from the View / Options. menu.

Form Filling Buttons (FF)

FF buttons are used to paste clips into fields in a form. If you click the FF button instead of the clip name, Spartan does three things:

1. It clears any text already in the field.
2. It pastes in the clip.
3. It moves the cursor to the next field.

Internet Bookmark Buttons (Net)

If a clip is a Web address (or contains a web address on a single line within the first 10 lines of the clip) a Net button will appear.

Clicking the Net button opens your browser and goes to the page.

Email Buttons

If a clip is an email address (or contains an email address on a single line within the first 10 lines of the clip) an Eml button will appear.

Clicking the Eml button starts an email to that address.

Dial Buttons

If a clip is a phone number (or contains a phone number on a single line within the first 10 lines of the clip) an Dial button will appear.

Clicking the Dial button launches the Windows phone dialer and dial the number.

Run and Open Buttons

If a clip is a file on your computer, a Run or Open button will appear.

Clicking these will run the program if it is a program file or open the file if it is a data file.

Unformatted Text Buttons (Txt)

If a clip contains word processor formatting and you only want to paste the plain text, click the Txt button instead of the clip name.

Upper Case and Lower Case Buttons

Clicking one of these will paste the plain text converted to upper case or lower case.

DOS Buttons

The DOS buttons paste clips into DOS windows.
